Beautiful all original Victorian gilt metal sewing kit and sewing needlework tools. The case is beautiful lustrous mother of pearl shell on both sides, inside is Royal purple silk and velvet housing tiny gilt metal needlework tools: needlecase, thimble-beautifully engraved, awl and bodkin needle. It looks like there was another bodkin needle but its not in the kit, otherwise the contents are all complete and original to the case. The case measures 4 inches by 3 inches, the pearl shell is in wonderful condition-no chips or cracks. The gilt metal tools are in wonderful condition with the needlecase needing a polish. A delightful all original Victorian sewing set to add to your collection of fine Victorian needlework tools.
